The purpose of this study is to develop systematic and effective education program in creative-characteristic education of preliminary life sports instructors by implementing base survey to find out the perception and status on needs for creative and characteristic education of life sports instructors. As for subjects of the study, 211 life sports instructors that are engaged in education are selected and implemented for questionnaire survey and, in order to analyze the opinions of the subjects, frequency analysis, independent t-test, and one-way ANOVA were used. As a result of the study, first, the perception on importance of creative-characteristic education for life sports instructors was very high but the purpose of implementation was not well understood. Second, the cause of not having the successful creative-characteristic education for life sports instructors was responded as lack of information and education, insufficient materials and supplies and not knowing how to execute for not having proper education in university. Third, the life sports instructors hope to expand the creative-characteristic education on the field along with the demand for education method, supporting human resources and programs. And, fourth, as a result of finding out the differences in demand and status of perception on creative-characteristic education depending on gender, age, education, position, subject of education and experience in education of life sports instructors, persons with high education consider more highly of importance for creative-characteristic education if the subject of education is young childhood and infant.
