There are many types of noises in running the rail vehicle. Of those, squeal noise and howl noise by corrugation of rail have a large influence in the ride quality. Squeal noise is generated by various causes especially the mutual relationship of the wheels and the track and howl noise is occurred by differences in surface roughness. The wheels and the track which are maintained in urban railway companies are selected appropriately but they are still operated in initial conditions. In this paper, we will study the applicable method of the track and rolling stocks for the running noise phenomenon of urban railway companies and present an alternative to settle the compliant in main line.
