The purpose of this study was to propose the policy directions and forest business projects for promoting the economic value of the forest resources and to derive project priority according to the regional economic impacts in Chungbuk Province. Forest area accounted for 67% of the total area of administrative region. Private forest area accounted for 65%. The forest area has been continuously reduced but growing stock has been continuously increased. The analysis showed that 1) Utilization value as new regional growth engine was sufficient according to analysis results of usable amount of woody biomass and forest culture and recreational potential, 2) Utilization strategies of Forest Resources in Chungbuk province can be divided into forest convergence business development strategies and forest recreationㆍcultureㆍwelfare strategies. 3) The highest priority project was bio forest convergence research project.
