Horse, herbivore, has played important roles in human life with various figures. Horse has metaphorically been conceptualized as general’s alter ego which is symbol of loyalty, a sacred ride for place movement and Yang energy of life. Also horse is a symbolic index that has been conceptualized as a sacred and divine animal, which leads to ritual practice like Horse Tomb and Horse Ritualism.
To conclude, horse, just a creature, becomes primarily the signifier of ‘General’, ‘Sacred Ride’ after the concept, ‘Loyalty’ ‘Place movemen t’ ‘EumYangOHaeng’, is reflected. And secondarily the signifier, ‘General’ and ‘Sacred Ride’, is symbolically extended after getting metaphorically combined with the concept of the alter ego of General and Deification. Finally it is expressed as Horse Ritualism through tertiary symbolizing process based on Horse Tomb and Masang·Mado which means horse religiously.
