Based on Protection Motivation Theory and Theory of Reasoned Action, this study empirically analyzed difference of user’s security behavioral intention between smartphone and personal computer. The data were collected from undergraduate students. Questions about both smartphone and personal computer are asked to the same respondents. Total of 237 data were used for the analysis. To sum up the findings, First, in case of smartphone, except the path between self-efficacy and security, all paths were statistically significant. In case of personal computer, all paths are significant. Second, according to the result of difference verification for parameters, possibility and self-efficacy differ between smartphone and personal computer for the influencing relationship. Third, after verifying the difference of average to each individual factor through matching sample t-test, all factors showed statistically different in mean value with exceptions of reaction efficacy and security.
