As we are living in times of ‘Change and Innovation’ due to advances in various technologies.
In this paper, the direction of technical development and countermeasure will be reviewed by looking into the main technologies which applied in recent construction project and as well as the domestic and global technical trend in order to ensure the leadership in the global construction market and break through the current limitation of Korean construction industry.
Korean construction industry is already internationally recognized as having the best construction technology in the field of highrise building, however, in answer to the trend of increasing numbers of recent demand in atypical, large scale, complex project and to be possible to lead the global construction market in the future, we should secure the economic feasibility, efficiency of construction and promote the technical advancement through the additional development of elemental technology in high-rise building, intensifying the convergence technology through BIM and Modular method. Meanwhile, we should prepare the innovative technologies in advance including eco-friendly technology development, 3D Printer and other for sustainable buildings to change the paradigm of future construction technology.
