Report Errors

Since the U.S. started to space development in the 1950s, DoD and NASA had led the development of space launch vehicles and space launch. However, President Nixon approved reusable launch vehicle program in order to seek "shuttle only" strategy. After the explosion of "Challenger", "shuttle only" policy was converted to "mixed fleet" policy. Since then, space launch industry started to grow with a "commercial space launch act 1984" and international cooperation. To support the commercial space launch field, various policies were announced. Recently-announced "2013 National Space Transportation Policy" also accelerate the commercialization of the U.S. launch vehicle.
