As concerns are recently focused on health, concerns about sport for all, which the people can experience with ease, are also on the gradual increase. In particular, indoor badminton yards, which are not affected by seasons or weather and require lots of activities, fully reflect such a social demand. However, most of the indoor badminton yards are finished with lightweight panels to reduce the construction fee and the construction period, causing acoustic defects with excessive indoor reverberation. From this point of view, this study aimed to use acoustic simulation in indoor badminton yards with acoustic defects due to finishing with lightweight panels to suggest an indoor badminton yard with optimized acoustic performance.
