Each local government is building various community sports facilities to use, regardless of seasons or weather, with the objective of improving the quality of life. While community sports facilities require pleasant sound environment, most of the existing facilities are finished with lightweight panels, causing excessive indoor reverberation. Although attempts to change finishing materials are made to improve acoustic performance, the results are significantly different from subjective responses personally felt by people after the improvement and there is dissatisfaction with the resultant acoustic performance. From this point of view, this study aimed to conduct a psycho-acoustic experiment after the improvement of acoustic performance in six community sports facilities and determine correlations with the subjective responses. The resultant data are expected to be useful in designing and remodeling community sports facilities.
