CVJ(constant velocity joint) is used for transmitting torque to wheel and TJ(tripod constant velocity joint) is used to inboard type. These days the strength requirements of CVJ are being more complicated because of robustness against high engine power and the demand for high joint angle in small area. Analyses simulation of TJ using FEM(finite element method) model were performed by changing value of design variables. The study shows that the strength of the housing has improved by increasing the thickness of T/HSG(tripod housing). And, the strength of the spider has improved by increasing the diameter of trunnion in spider.
