The present study examines creative formative activities and Hangul educational contents related to art for children aged four to five based on discipline-based art education, a famous type of art appreciation education as well as the theological foundation of visual perception training. During the process of designing contents for the activity “Amusement Art Museum: Level1 - Dreams of the Jungle”, the most suitable words for infants’ physical development process (study level 1 and 2) were chosen based on study results by Hangul education professionals. The stages from the image-word communication stage?in which children aged four to five show interest at the basic Hangul text learning level?to the final stage of literacy were applied to this content. In this Hangul learning process, the program was designed to allow aesthetic education through famous artworks and, at the same time, to allow instinctive acquisition of Hangul through play activities and engagement in creative formative activities. This new learning approach distances itself from the current cramming method of education, and it will be viewed in a new light as Hangul education provided through convergence of content.
