In this study, I investigated the communication strategy in Japanese native speakers and Japanese texts. It turns out that the usage frequency and the species of the strategy depend on the scene, for example, self-introduction and request, and also depend on the cases of the listener and the speaker. As for the Japanese native speakers, the usage frequency in the listener is 「いいえ」＞「はい」＞「ああ」 for the case of self-introduction, but it was 「はい」＞「ええ」＞「そうですか」＞「ああ」 for the request. In the speaker, the frequency is 「あ」＞「あの」＞「はい」 for the self-introduction, and it is 「あの」＞「あ」＞「はい」 for the request.
However, the usage status of the communication strategy in Japanese texts seems to be different from Japanese native speakers. For example, for the case of self-introduction, Japanese native speakers usually use polite expressions and uses 「いいえ」 for the response to the polite expressions. But, Japanese texts only show self-introduction conversation without using the strategy. In the case of self-introduction, the strategy of the listener, 「いいえ」is used in 2 texts. The strategy of the speaker, 「あ」 is found in 4 texts and 「あの」 is found in 2 texts. In the case of request, the strategy of the listener, 「はい」 is used in 4 texts and 「そうですか」 is used in 5 texts. The strategy of the speaker, 「あの」 is found in 5 texts, 「あ」 and 「はい」 are found in 2 texts. Interestingly, in the case of request, cases of 「あの」 was not used so much than expected in the native speakers.
Therefore, in this paper, I suggest to intensively treat the communication strategy between the listener and the speaker and teach how to take the priority in the strategy in Japanese texts.
