Report Errors

The novels of Whang Soon-Won in 1945~1947, “Father”, “the Bulls”, “the House”, “the story of liquor”, were different from his other ones. In those novels, he obviously showed his concern of contemporary Korea’s situation. He represented social problems and historical questions. So, it is not proper that every Whang’s novels are appreciated as pure literature. But, now, we cannot confirm the worth of his 1945~1947’s novels printed after 1970s. He adapted those novels for new version. Through that adaption, there had been quite a notable change. In this article, we examined the differences between before and after adaption. Before adaption, his novel was focused in social event. After adaption, his novel searched the inside of characters.
