One of the important problems to generate an HDR image is that how we correct the misaligned and blurred multi-exposure images from a handheld camera. It causes visual artifacts when the input images are not correctly aligned. To resolve these problems such as misalignment, blur and afterimage, we can use feature based registration methods but they cannot handle the blur and ghosting problems. Especially, moving objects of a scene is very critical to the merged HDR image. In this paper, we propose a novel image registration method based on color transformation instead of the feature based registration approach. It can resolve all of the existing problems at once. In the experimental result section, we demonstrate various convincing results through the proposed method.
