In this paper we go through performance analysis and comparison of certain architectural design projects in terms of building environmental performances. We chose several design team projects from an architectural design studio class so as to invoke the importance of design integrity with many domains of building design knowledge other than building forms. We mainly apply building environmental performance analysis in terms of solar radiation on building surfaces and various wind related performances in terms of air flow and natural ventilation in the summer time and unwanted wind prevention in the winter time. We use Autodesk Vasari and the Ecotect plug-ins as our main platform. We analyze and compare those three design projects on how well they behave in acquiring solar radiation so as to facilitate building energy performance, on how they response to wind data to outperform others in using and blocking air flows.
