Domestic construction market has been declining in the past few years, but the construction market abroad, especially the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America has been booming. Since 2006, overseas construction orders in Korea has shown an average growth of 29.1 percent every year, which is half of domestic construction orders. It is expected that overseas construction market will grow continuously. Meanwhile, the domestic construction market is expected to keep declining. Therefore it is necessary to transform the business structure of the nation.

In order to improve domestic engineering firms dependent on domestic demand (about 6.6 trillion, 91%), the government made a comprehensive development measures in the engineering industry. Moreover, to strengthen the expansion into overseas markets, the government has developed a plan to enter seven major powers of engineering by the year 2020. It is necessary to train global human resources and improve support system of government for global construction market.

It is necessary to build a global total engineering infrastructure such as fusion IT, and the ICT for graduate students and excellent global human resources. It is necessary to visualize the content of educational programs and to train human resources for companies to hope. You must run a training course with abroad industry, school, and Institute for global network. It is necessary to attract excellent global students and foreign teachers. It must be in conjunction with the curriculum through the feedback by examining the satisfaction.
