The purpose of the study is to identify the relation between women`s Kendo activity and their role disposition. I surveyed women who are and who are not doing Kendo at lifetime sports clubs and private Kumdo clubs in Kangwon-do as of now year 2002. Effective sample size collected in the study was 1,000 in total, but the practical size was 801(Kendo-doing 506 women and not-doing 295 women) due to 199 hollow-hearted answers or omissions. The questionnaire used in the study was composed of 4 categories; Kendo-experiencing period, Kendo-participating leader, role disposition, and general things, I used technical statistics for analysis of general things, and ANCOVA(analysis of covariance), analysis of variance, and T-test for the role disposition relation between Kendo doing women and not doing women, The relation between Kendo-doing years and the role disposition was analyzed through the analysis of variance. The relation between participating leader and the role disposition was analyzed through the analysis of variance. The conclusions are as following. Kendo activity gives influence on the role disposition in part. Whether doing Kendo or not does not impact on role disposition. on the contrast, there were a significant difference by Kendo experiencing period in emulous-thrusting disposition and conspicuous-narcissistic disposition. By participating leader, there were significant differences in all the emulous-thrusting disposition, conspicuous-narcissistic disposition, and defiant-disbelieving disposition.
