Human mind has been speculated to be resulted from interaction between brain and body. Organic connectivity between them has recently revealed not only human mind but human emotion. Afferent and efferent pathway in vagal nervous system have performed dependent function of regulating and controlling emotion.
Progressing emotional information process from external stimulation, the heart has send a signal to the brain through afferent pathways encoding a rate of change of heart rate and blood pressure according evoked emotion. Also, the brain is to transmit the emotion information in heart through efferent pathway. This study was to quantify and determine the brainheart connectivity as a biomarker for classifying human emotion.
