Report Errors
CEOs create their company names with consumer appeal in mind to maximize profits. This thesis examined the following questions: are foreign words or compound names more effective among Korean company names? What is the meaning of the company name? Why and when was the company name changed? How did the relationship between total profits and the company’s image change after its name change? This empirical analysis shed light on whether or not changing the name of a company enhanced the company’s image.
