By means of keyword, it concludes the current research about Literary Otherness in China resorting to derivation, translation, transmission, application, its status, characteristics and trends, and illustrates different terms of Other, Otherness and Literary Otherness. It considers that these studies began in the end of the 20th century and developed in the early twenty-first Century, mainly focused on four themes as follows: illuminating the meaning of the Other, applying the method of the Other, analyzing the image of the Otherness and constructing the identity of the Other. It also deems that these studies characterized interdisciplinary and cultural criticism and trended toward comprehensive innovation.
