This paper examines a correlation between the paradigms of some stems and their meaning. The analogy cross the paradigms is mostly based on the phonetic similarity and the same morphological composition. But the semantic relation cross the paradigms is also important for explanation on the cause of analogy. The synonymous relation and antonymous relation evidently affect the restructuring of underlying form and they push forward the analogy cross the paradigms.
Up to the present, the restructuring related paradigms rises up as the important issue of phonology and morphology. As you know, ‘paradigmatic analogy" and ‘reanalysis" should be critical facts on restructuring. Based on this approach, I argue in favor of the paradigmatic analogy on ‘햇빛 ~햇볕, 풀다~끄르다, 부수다~빻다, 있다~없다". These words are related to semantic networks.
The reason why paradigms are so important for the analogical mechanism is that there are some examples for restructuring which are hard to explain through the rule mechanism. Nevertheless, the argument about analogical processes and paradigmatic analogy is not examined thoroughly. In this paper, I concentrate on the analogy across some paradigms related to the phonological, morphological and also semantic change.
Consequently, I confirm that the same morphological composition, the same surface form and the semantic relation are the triggers to realize the analogy across the paradigms.
