The purpose of this study (n = 325) were threefold: to explore Korean EFL undergraduates’ perspectives on an on-line course, to investigate the effects of the course on their TOEIC test scores, and to examine the relationship between the participants’ levels of English proficiency and their perspectives on the course. For data collection, the participants were given a survey questionnaire (asking their perspectives) and TOEIC practice tests (obtaining their TOEIC scores). The findings showed that the participants in general reported taking the course had helped them improve their listening ability, independent language studying capacity, and test taking skills. In fact, many of the participants improved their TOEIC test scores. In regard to the third research question, the participants in a high-level group significantly improved the TOEIC scores than those in a low-level group. Some more interesting findings and implications for English education will further be discussed in detail.
