This study is aimed to research on a scheme for constructing infrastructures to activate the marine sports tourism at west coast areas. For this, the study grasped actual use conditions of marine sports tourists at west coast areas, and investigated satisfaction degrees, attractions, and repurchasing intentions on the marine sports, and then attempted to propose an activation scheme of the sports through directions of constructing infrastructures to which tourists wanted.
As research objects, this study executed questionnaireson 651 tourists having participated in sea baths and marine sports at west sea areas during July-September 2013.
For analyzing data, the study executed frequency by socio-demographics characteristics, percentage, cross analysis, and technical statistics by using SPSS statistics program (Ver. 18.0), and then calculated exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach’s coefficient in order to ensure validity and reliability by each factors. In addition, the study carried out T -test and ANOVA to verify differences according to socio-demographic characteristics, and also executed post-verification by Tukey’s method in case significant differences were admitted. The significance level of results was verified at p＜.05 levels.
First, significant differences were shown by gender, age, academic history, and occupations through research results on differences by factors of marine sports at the west coast areas. Second, significant differenced were appeared by gender, age, academic history, incomes, and occupations in the research results on the scheme of constructing selected marine sports infrastructures at the west coast areas. Third, in the research results about effects of satisfaction degrees and development willingness for marine sports at the west coast area to repurchasing intentions.
With bases of the above results, the scheme for constructing infrastructures of marine sports at the west coast area was suggested same as followings.
