This paper implements least square method in visual speech recognition. The overall recognition framework is similar to the one in [1] in terms of preprocessing, feature extraction and distance matrix. On the other hand, once distance matrix established, least square method finds optimized linear combination vector using distance matrixes concatenated in downward. The experimental results show that best recognition rate is the same as the one reported in [1].
