During the printing, there are some defects appear in printing products. The inspection of printing products is becoming an important activity in modern printing industry. The quality of algorithm affect in great deal of the result of the inspection system. A good algorithm is able to improve performance of the system. Beside many algorithms for printing inspection which were proposed previously, in this paper we focus on developing an algorithm for Label Print Inspection to identify the defects in Smoking Wrapper and also classify some kinds of detected defects. Our preliminary experiments have shown that the method and algorithm are able to satisfy the requirements of a print label inspection system in detecting the defects and classifying them.
