The reflection of consilience caused by rapid development and exchange of modern civilization is shown as deboundary of style and genre in modern art, integration of culture, etc. As the social and cultural reflection, Collaboration which is the cooperation, joint work making developmental synergy effects created newly after mutually different artists meet, is spreading. New synergy effects caused newly after mutually different artists meet, is spreading. New synergy effects caused by interaction of collaboration′s components are evolved by continuously interaction through the complicated collective behavior of complex system and the meaning is same as the meaning of self-organizing and synergetics which create adaption. Therefore, this research analyzed cases of collaboration of residence program based on artists′ exchange by applying synergetics theory of complex system. The purpose of this research is essential research of art through the study on the process to create art and its significance is new interdisciplinary study by substituting science theory to artistic phenomenon for the analysis.
Through this research, relations between collaboration, combining and integrative cultural phenomenon of the 21st century and complex system theory can be learned. As a result, this research should imply that art′s creation can be analyzed scientifically. In the future, various studies grafting complex system theory onto art should be possible.
