This paper investigates whether environmental investment affects on the amount of production by industry using a panel data and an individual industry data for the period of 1993-2010.Major findings are that there is hardly the relationship between the amount of production and environmental investment by using panel data and 3 out of 12 industries" environmental investment affects on the amount of production, that is, food and drink, electric machine, movie, sound and communication. Environmental investment in food and drink affects positively on the amount of production and the positive effects are less in the recession period than in the boom period. However, the effects are negative in electric machine, movie, sound and communication and the negative effects are greater in the recession period. The other industries do not have the relationship between the amount of each production and each environmental investment.
