Family pattern of our country assumes a modern appearance but it is still dominated by feudal consciousness structure and value internally. This inconsistence inevitably invites conflict and collision and as a consequence, the life of children is also affected thereby as family is not only a substantial environment where children are born and grow but also their emotional foundation.
In this study, while paying attention to "Old-fashioned territory (domain) in modern times" among the various problems of familism in Korea, an aspect of overcoming alterity by individual family members is intended to be observed through the work of Choi, Na Mi.Target of this study is two pieces of full-length fairy tale such as "Mother"s fortieth birthday" and "Worrywart 13 years old" and its main theme is a narrative reaction method to family ideology.
Through this study, it is hoped that a width of understanding for the family epics as well as family ideology inherent in our society would be broadened and an opportunity of deeply thinking over its limitation and future direction would be provided at the same time.
