The tradition about Oke-Woke which acceded to the throne as Emperor Kenso and Jinken begins from a brother’s sufferings which took place for his father murdered by Yuryaku. In the "Kojiki", it results from declaration of Woke in the new-building party of Sijimu of Harima, and in accession to the throne through the competition by Utagaki, and mutual concessions of the Imperial Throne. Moreover, it is told to the talk of the revenge in which only a form damages the origin of OkimenoOuna, and the grave of Yuryaku. The tradition after accession to the throne is an anecdote of the reign which emphasizes the Emperor’s virtue and leads also to Emperor Nintoku image of the third volume beginning. The above brothers’ tradition is looked at by the “Nihonshoki”, and is considered to have been taken from data of the same kind probably. However, there are mutually different places, such as a traditional situation, a scene of a tale, and a part arranged. Moreover, the tale of Oke-Woke has four themes called sufferings, revival and sovereignty, and virtue in politics. This has a place similar also in the “Kojiki.” That is, it has the structure of leading also to the Ohokuninusi tale in the first volume, the tradition of Emperor Oujin and Prince Yamatotakeru in second volume. It seems that the tale of the brother who becomes the last of third volume was constituted from above points by an editor’s intention. In other words, it was made so that the view of the world of the “Kojiki” might be met. In short, it was told by the concept of the work.
