The purpose of the study is to analyse Potential Determinants of Recreation Conflict and the Coping Behavior for a leisure participant with dog. Previous studies of recreation conflict focused on using mechanical power and non-routine recreational space, however city park is used frequently so various conflicts occurs. Moreover, raising companion animal home is 17.6% of all households, the conflict for a leisure participant with dog has emerged a major issues in park management. Awareness of these issues, the study conducted survey on potential determinants of conflict, factors of conflict, and coping behavior for a leisure participant with dog in Hangang Park. A total of 356 questionnaires used for analysing recreation conflict and coping behavior. The result showed that experience mode, tolerance, and public etiquette were significantly influenced on conflict. Furthermore, conflict influenced displacement whereas rationalization and product shift were excluded from the analysis. These results associated with conflict of situational context, displacement of time or place was coping behavior. Therefore, in order to enhance the quality of recreation experience in city park regulatory action or policy responses should be proposed.
