In general, the rotational driving system for heavy duty machine makes use of a center joint. During the rotational driving, center joint is the main component delivering hydraulic power, generated by power source attached to the upper part, to each component of the lower part without interruption of hydraulic flow. Center joint is composed of spindle, body and seal. The body rotates on spindle, which is fixed on the lower plate.
In this study, life time test reflecting field conditions and the pressure loss characteristics of center joint are described by performing sample tests. The test conditions are the angle of rotation and pressure. In a few rotational angular conditions, the pressure loss of center joint is measured at the rated pressure and a few pressure & flow-rate.
