The purpose of this research was to propose important policy agendas for increasing sustainability by each local government in chungbuk province based on the evaluation of sustainable development indicators (SDIs). To do that, this research obtained official statistic data corresponding chungbuk SDIs and analysed change trend during past five years using descriptive analysis. As a results of this research, local governments need to know the following points for making sustainable policy. 1) welfare budget has expanded but the number of leisure welfare facilities for senior citizen has decreased, 2) the number of car accident and crime has decreased but urban park area has increased, 3) waste recycling rate has increased but the number of environmental contamination violating business has increased, 4) environmental preservation area has decreased but total energy consumption has increased, 4) financial independence ratio and economic activity rates had degenerated. The results of this research will contribute to making realistic and efficient sustainable policy.
