In this paper, we propose a new method that detect early AZB(All Zero Block) which has all ‘’coefficient. For H.264/AVC, it’ very important to find the best mode which can lower coded bitrates seriously. However it needs a large number of calculations for mode decision at the same time. So many algorithms are introduced to reduce the calculations. Early detection of AZB is one of them. Our algorithm is to detect AZB based variable offset parameter in condition of adaptive rounding quantization. Merit of new algorithm is to update offset parameter which varied with MB(Marco Block). and the detection capability of AZB is superior to existing algorithm based on fixed offset. And I prove the validity of the proposed algorithm by Simulation.
