The main feature of the parametric design tool which has received more attention is to control the flow of information. Positively utilizing this feature, StrAuto is the parametric tool to generate parametric structural models, to manage automatic analysis and evaluation, to execute the optimization of structure through thousands of iterative analyses and to extract useful information from modeling and analysis result.
With parametric tools, users can make accurate models timely. As well as a desired shape can be created quickly by setting parameters, the shape can be easily changed by changing parameters. The more complex and atypical, the more helpful. The outstanding feature of StrAuto is the management of the analysis process through the API. This means that it makes it possible the automation of analysis. StrAuto analyzing a number of alternatives automatically, the structure can be optimized.
Clarifying requirements of information need for the digital fabrication and introducing them into StrAuto, we expect more accurate optimization with including constructability and considering the actual cost.
