Previous video summary methods based on image mosaics use uniformly sampled foreground motions to describe the overall motion in a video. However, this approach may have the ghosting artifact if the foreground motions are not uniformly distributed in the scene. In this paper, we propose a mosaic-based video summarization method that suppresses the ghosting artifacts while preserving the important motions of a video. From the given video, we make a mosaic image that summarizes video contents by non-uniformly sampling key-frames using motion frequency. We demonstrate the effectiveness of non-uniform sampling with a few videos.
