In this paper, we propose a decision-aided reconstruction (DAR) algorithm considering signal attenuation caused by clipping. The proposed algorithm mitigates the error-rate performance degradation resulting from the iterative clipping and filtering procedure used to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve a more improved error-rate performance with the PAPR reducing capability maintained at the same level as the conventional DAR in coded OFDM systems.
