This study designed and realized the behavioral tendency works as the alternatives for overcoming the problem of low civil participation through the socio-participatory interactive media art utilizing multisensory mechanism and activism. The study put effort on finding effective method to attract awareness and behaviors of socio-political participation. Especially, we made a suggestion through the literature reviews and twice of interactive media art exhibition with observing the audience. These exhibitions intended to attract socio-participation naturally through the multisensory experiences and we conducted movement participatory type of exhibition with Former Wing on Department Store in Shanghai first. We especially focused on the social interaction between audiences and works with utilizing the proximity sensors and pressure sensors. Second interactive media art about National Assembly in Yeoido is designed as to be socio-participatory type which allows activism. To be specific, we designed the completely different results to come out depending on the length and volume of speech and degree of participation of audience. These socio-participatory type of interactive media art exhibitions based on sensory aspects allow observation of change made by structure of the stories, meaning and results depending on sound interaction methods. The audience are able to realize the meaning and significance of socio-participation through various results. Also, the sharing of recorded sound and communicating with audience implies the extension of awareness in participation. Moreover, this study suggest the direction of future studies as to provide the ability to socially communicate between the work and audience, or the audiences and audiences. And this paper explored the possibility of sharing the sense and experience through smart devices without any exhibition halls, with exhibitions which allow social interaction based on network adopting characteristics of new media.
