Recent years, a lot of new Chinese animation works have been on screen. But there always are some negative reviews show up, talking about the problem about “lacking of creativity”, “lacking of Chinese characteristics” and so on. But what is “Chinese characteristics”? Supposing the “Chinese characteristics” would be extracted from “impression” about “Chinese animations”, we began this study.
This study analyzes the Chinese 80s’(people who was born in 1980s) impression of Chinese animations that we got by using the SD (Semantic differential) method. And we discus the impressions in different angles, and take a factor analysis aiming to figure out the factors affect on participants’ rating.
