This study aims at revealing how Le Corbuiser’s Dom-Ino prototype has influenced architects including Le Corbusier himself from the perspective of the ways of architectural design development. To analyse this, firstly it reviews the concept of dom-Ino prototype and the interpretations by architectural theorists. Secondly, it investigates selected projects by modern and contemporary architects including Le Corbusier himself which are regarded as under the major influence by the Dom-ino prototype. Thirdly, it classifies the application methods of the prototype by prominent characteristics in the process of architectural design. As a result it can be concluded that the Dom-Ino prototype has been influential both in direct and indirect ways in the process of architectural design challenging architects to develop their design meeting the needs of not only its architectural programs but also the those of their times.
