Shiki Masaoka leaves many works on a Haiku, a Tanka, an essay, a novel, many aspects including the criticism during the 36-year-old short life. Particularly, Shiki presented Haiku innovation luck through the new original method called “The sketch idea(Shaseiron)“ for Japanese tradition poetry. It is commented on as big achievements on Japanese modern literature. There is that Shiki died early in this way because of tuberculosis that I had to 22 years old.
The incurable disease called tuberculosis let you deepen a way of the literature that Shiki aimed at more in Shiki and was an opportunity in those days. He recognizes death to young age by tuberculosis, and the ‘illness is because some’ ‘death faced the creation while accepting anything’ in the inside of own. And, in Shiki, own opened death and all processes of the description of fight against illness when I faced and published it serially in a newspaper and a magazine. In this report, I picked Life and Death which appeared in the three major essays of the later years that Shiki had left. And I try to consider it how his a viewpoint of life and death changes.
After it was diagnosed fatal illness called tuberculosis conclusively in Shiki, he developed literal fictionization through the best method by the condition life for approximately 15 years though it was limited the activity of the physical mark. As for it, he is the big lesson that we left.
