This study aims to establish improved incentive program for green consumption, and to activate consumer participation.
To this end, this study reviewed some representative domestic incentive schemes such as carbon points program, carbon cash-back program, and green card program and their current status and problems. Also, implications from relevant cases and institutions in major countries were analyzed and consumer surveys among participants and non-participants to identify characteristics, difficulties involved, and the future requirements were investigated.
Then, those processes are integrated to derive overall boosting plan for future green consumption incentive schemes. This can be presented to the following four significant factors: improving the accessibility of participation, enhancing consumers" participation, strengthening complementarity between education&data policy, and devising a creative model through public-private partnership.
