In recent analyses on the Right Node Raising Construction (RNRC), the notion of linearization has been crucial in that it offers a way of capturing properties such as the insensitivity of island constraints in RNRCs. Still, issues revolving around sub-lexical remnants and scope inversion have not been clarified. To solve the problems, this study proposes an alternative analysis that captures RNRCs as involving the ellipsis of domain objects. Constraints are imposed on domain objects so that ellipsis can affect elements below word-level and can have effect on the scope of elided quantifiers.
