This study aims to examine the effects of participation in dance class after school and the grade, period of participation, frequency of participation and hours of participation of participating students on physical self-efficacy in order to find the effects of dance class for elementary school children after school on their physical self-efficacy. In order to achieve the purpose of study, 340 students(experimental group 170, control group 170) of 6 elementary schools were selected as the subject for the study. The conclusions are as follows.
First, the physical self-efficacy of the participating group was found to be higher than that of the non-participating group.
Second, in the differences in physical self-efficacy depending on the period of participation in dance class after school, the physical self-efficacy was the highest in the group participating for 6 months or longer and 1 year or shorter, and it was found to be reduced in participation for 2 years or longer.
Third, the differences in physical self-efficacy was found that the longer the period of participation, the more positive effects on the recognized physical ability.
Fourth, the physical self-efficacy was found to be the highest when the hours were 40 minutes or longer and shorter than 60 minutes in all subfactors.
