The corrugated steel pipe is used for the purpose of construction of various of water supply, water drainage etc. The corrugated steel pipe that is generally used in culvert structures is excellent in safety and durability. Because of strong corrosion life, it is more economical. And also, because of simple construction technique, it is widely used in the field of road, residential development, or forest road construction site. Smart pipe is newly designed to make the most advantage of general corrugated steel pipe. It is formed with a projection to increase the external pressure strength. In this study, for comparative analysis to each other characteristics of behavior due to loading the load of the smart pipe and general corrugated steel pipe, the field experiment was performed to mutually compare and evaluate the behavior characteristics.
