Jeollanamdo province will make the utmost efforts in overseas and domestic marketing to attract more tourists from now on, and do our best to cultivate the new growth engine, MICE, and bolster the high value-added medical tourism. In addition, we do not spare any sweat in developing marine tourism products with the use of marine resources. To efficiently implement those efforts, we will strengthen partnerships with tourism-related organizations and pay attention to reforming our ocean tourism products and businesses, and enhancing the fisherman’s expertise. Furthermore, we will focus on establishing long-term vision and strategies for the far-sighted policy of the marine tourism industry. This study aims to analyze the tourism development plans of the government and Jeollanamdo province related to marine tourism resource development which are strategies to promote Jeollanamdo province marine tourism, as Jeollanamdo province in a competitive marine destination, and establish the advantages in the Northeast Asia tourism market and the position of Korea’s marine central region.
