Supporting plans to improve the energy efficiency of natural gas driven facilities are suggested in this study. To encourage the deployment of high efficiency natural gas vehicles, new incentive programs are required for the vehicles with higher gas mileage compared to existing natural gas vehicles. For the natural gas driven air conditioners, R&D programs need to be supported for high efficiency systems such as triple effect absorption chillers. Though the residential gas water heaters are estimated to occupy 2.9% of the total national energy consumption, the penetration is relatively low for the heaters with high efficiency. This is because, especially for the residential water heaters, the purchaser is often not the actual user. To resolve the problem, it is highly required to prepare the penalty or the incentive programs for purchasers of the natural gas water heaters.
