In this study, body composition and physical fitness characteristics of total 18 players. 9 elite players form business team who have more than 10 years of experience as a Kumdo player and 9 non-elite players were measured. The following conclusions were drawn from the results obtained from the analysis of height, weight, and body fat percentage(%fat) for physical characteristics using Inboby520 and from the analysis of muscular strength, muscular endurance, explosive muscular strength(quickness), agility, flexibility, balance, and anaerobic capability for physical fitness factors.
First, no statistically significant differences (p>;.05) were found between elite and non-elite players for physical characteristics(height, weight, body fat percentage(%fat)).
Second, there were no statistically significant differences (p>;.05) in the measurements of muscular strength (back strength, grip strength), muscular endurance(sit-up), explosive Power(sergeant jump), flexibility(trunk forward flexion), balance(standing on one leg with eyes closed),?;?;while statistically significant differences (p<;.05) were found for muscular endurance (push-up) and agility (sidestep).
Third, for anaerobic capability, there were no significant differences (p>;.05) in mean power and mean power per kilogram(W/Kg), while significant differences in peak power, peak power per kilogram (W/Kg), and fatigue index.
