본 논문은 金文에 나타나는 ‘旅’자의 용례를 고찰하였다. ‘旅’자가 있는 명문은 ‘旅+친족칭위’, ‘旅+기물명’, ‘旅宗?’, ‘旅+?’ 등으로 기록하고 있는데 다른 기물에 주로‘尊?’, ‘尊?’, ‘寶?’, ‘寶尊鼎’, ‘寶鼎’ 등으로 기록하는 것과는 다른 점이다. 『金文今譯類檢』에 ‘旅+기물의 명칭’, ‘旅宗?’, ‘旅+?’형식의 기물을 모두 ‘행여(行旅)’의 기물이라고 하여 종묘에서 가지고 나가 사용할 수 있으며 연회에 진열하는 순서가 있는 기물 또는 종묘에서 사용하는 기물이라고 하였는데 ‘여(旅)’자가 있는 기물에 ‘행여(行旅)’의 기록은 오히려 적고 ‘여(旅)’는 인명, 족휘, 군사, 관직명, 하사, 의례, 제사 등에 다양하게 쓰이고 있으며, ‘여(旅)’자가 있는 기물의 출현 시기도 서주시기에 집중되고 춘추시기로 접어들면서는 드물게 보인다. 이외 족휘의 용도로 쓰인 경우와 관직명 성씨 등과 서로 연관성을 추정할 수 있다.
This paper will examine the case of inscription on Bronze(IOB) trip旅. According to The corpus of Inscriptions on Bronze (『金文語料庫』) which was made by the Center for the research and application of Chinese characters in East China Normal University, there are 621 bronzes inscriptions containing the word trip旅, in which 469 parts does not overlap in content. The recording mode of the IOB trip旅is that "trip旅and kinship appellation", "trip旅and the word of artifacts or wine vessels". The characteristics of the IOB trip旅artifacts are different from other artifacts. According to The modern inspection of Inscriptions on Bronze (『金文今譯類檢』), the IOB trip旅artifacts were explained as artifacts for travel, or the transferring objects out of ancestral temple. The bronze wine vessels, the cooking vessels and the sacrificial artifacts of ancestral temple, which were displayed orderly in the feast, may be regarded as artifacts for travel. According to the data of The corpus of Inscriptions on Bronze (『金文語料庫』), there are only 3 pieces of artifacts for travel and 3 pieces of the sacrificial artifacts in ancestral temple. In addition, on the basis of the information for inscriptions on Bronze, the IOB trip旅is also used to name, clan badge, military counsellor, official position, reward, official position, rituals, verbs, etc. The IOB trip旅artifacts appeared in the Western Zhou Dynasty, and disappeared gradually during the Spring and Autumn Period. It is worth to study the evolution process and relevant content. Moreover, it is worthwhile to note that the Clan Badge appeared in various styles. There are trip旅and kinship appellation in the trip旅 Clan Badge system. The strong symbolic individual character trip旅 written at the end of a sentence has nothing to do with the contents of sentence. The author regards that Clan Badge in the part of IOB trip旅 artifacts is in need of further research, which may be a clue to understand the Clan Badge system.
