Dehydrating is a crucial part in the plastic recycling process. Without a proper dehydrating, the recycled product with a high qualty cannot be produced. The study developed the continuous-type dehydrator using centrifugal force to improve the dehydrating performance an recycling capacity. It proposed the structure to perform continuous feeding and dehydrating of crushed plastic waste concurrently. The structure was designed equipped with revolving drum, feed screw, insert screw, differential speed regulator, etc and determined the optimal process parameters through the several test to achieve the desirable results. Field tests using the prototypes verified that the developed dehydrator has efficient and excellent performance.
