The purpose of this study is to determine the direction of the plan by deriving the natural resource characteristics and potential of each section from Sobaeksan Jarak-gil ecological trails as basic research to formulate physical development strategies for ecological trails. The total section consists of five sections with a total length of 39.52 km. As a result of the analysis, the gradients of Section 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 were 11.17°, 20.93°, 20.16°, 12.95° and 9.66°, respectively. The water system distribution of Sobaeksan Jarak-gil is in contact with the ecological trails over 36.02km (91%) of the total of 39.52 km. Sobaeksan Jarak-gil has a diverse fauna such as 25 species of mammals, 27 species of birds, 11 species of amphibians, 14 species of reptiles and 53 species of insects. Section 1 and 4 were abundant in historical stories, and natural and historical resources were abundantly found in Section 2 and 3. Rural cultural landscape and natural resources were abundantly shown in Section 5. It is required to develop a plan to maximize the currently-distributed natural resources in order to protect the natural ecological values of Sobaeksan and to explore project strategies based on content development aimed at facility maintenance.
